Description:
The jaws possess villiform teeth and there are no spines in the fins. There is a singular dorsal fin with 20-27 rays, originating just behind the mid-point of the body. The anal fin is short, featuring 14-17 rays and its origin is situated well behind the base of the dorsal fin. Pelvic fins are positioned slightly ahead of the dorsal fin origin. The scales are very small, approximately 100 on the lateral line. In terms of color, the back is blue-grey, the sides are silvery with a touch of yellow, and the fins exhibit a faint yellow hue.
