The caudal fin is deeply forked, the lateral line exhibits a slight anterior arch. There are no scutes and caudal peduncle grooves are present. The coloration is dark olive-blue or green on the upper side and white on the lower side. Two narrow light blue or bluish-white stripes run along the sides are separated by a broader olive or yellowish stripe. The fins are dark with a white color on an olive-yellow background.
