Description:
It is a brown algae with a size range of 10 to 55 mm. This thallus has ribbon-like, blunt fronds that fork repeatedly at the same length in a regular pattern, and bushy, yellowish-brown dichotomous branches. This species features strap-shaped, tightly twisted, dichotomously branching branches with a wide angle, and whole margins with somewhat aculeate tips. The branches are erect and 1-3 mm diameter.
