Description:
Reaching a height of 9 to 14 cm, the plant is fastened to the seafloor by a holdfast with a variable form encircled by rhizoids. The flat blades have dichotomous branches. The sections are 10 to 15 mm long and lack a midrib. The thallus is 6 to 10 mm wide under each junction and 2 to 4 mm wide immediately above. The blade has complete edges, with juvenile fronds having rounded tips and older fronds having sharp tips. The sporangia have a diameter of 125–140 µm.
