Description:
Subtly branched, with distinct segments that are ovoid to elongate, rounded at both ends, and measuring 7–19 mm in length and 3-5 mm in width. Epilithic, holdfast discoid, 2–10 mm in diameter. Campanulate rhodoplasts with a central pyrenoid. 4-5 cm in height. Chalky grey-red to dark crimson thallus.
