Description:
Colonies range from encrusting to massive, often exhibiting a proclivity for columnar formations. Corallites, typically conical and widely spaced, display clearly alternating costae that are easily discernible underwater. The presence of 12 primary septa is notable. The coloration generally consists of a uniform brown, green or cream hue, with corallite walls and calices featuring contrasting colors.
