Description:
It has moderately elongated and compressed body with a short and blunt snout. Mouth is terminal and the eye is large, equal to or greater than the snout. The pectoral fin is elongate, significantly longer than the head. There are large, broad and granular teeth patches on the midline of the roof of the mouth and tongue. Body is light tan to brown, the operculum is blackish and the caudal fin appears dusky, while the other fins are clear.
