Description:
The shell is thick and compressed . It is nearly circular in outline. It has broad, flattened, strong radial ribs that often distinctly divide into two and obliquely diverge towards both the anterior and posterior ends. The umbones are small and moderately pointed, directed anteriorly. The lunule is small. The anterior and posterior muscle scars are distinct with the anterior muscle scar being narrowly elongate and the posterior muscle scar being roundish. The pallial line is well developed. The pallial sinus is absent. The internal margins are finely crenulated.
