Description:
The shell is small to medium in size and elongated. There are no crenulations on the side of the hinge or the body shell. The outer margin of the shell is thin, sharp, and has two short spine-like projections. There is a large muscle scar at the central part of the shell. The color of the shell is creamy-white with a brownish central area. The margins of the shell are blackish. The interior of the shell is creamy white with dark patches on the margins.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Teknaf area and St. Martin’s Island, Shallow water of tidal to subtropical depth of fairly constant turbidity and salinity.
