Cordagalma cordiformis displays a semi-contractile and delicate nature. The pneumatophore is small and fusiform, with a pigmented apex. Typically, the nectophores are small, fragile, and heart-shaped. The nectosac is nearly heart-shaped, and the ostium is situated in the center of the nectophore on its dorsal side. The pedicular canal is positioned at the base, opposite to the ostium. The dorsal and ventral radial canals are short and straight.
The tentilla are of a larval type, and the cnidosacs are round to oval in shape. They contain a row of proximal large, bean-like, cigar-shaped nematocysts, and there are 6-8 sharp bristles radiating from the tip. There is no terminal filament present. The palpons are divided into two groups and are situated in the internode between the two gastrozooids. Female gonophores are located at the base of the proximal palpon, while male gonophores are found at the base of the distal palpon.
