Shell small, thick, broadly ovate, spire short with fine spiral threads; apex often worn, flat, shoulder sharp, spiral striae fine, towards the base of the body whorl; body whorl sometimes with spiral rows of very tiny brown dots; aperture narrow and straight. Colour: surface deep orange to lemon- yellow, with a pale band at the centre of the body whorl, large white blotches on the spire; aperture pinkish-white.
