The thallus exhibits a color that can be described as bluish-green or deep green. It is filamentous and displays a heterogeneous branching pattern. The primary axis has a slight narrowing at its base. There are short, spine-like branches that form acute angles with the main axis. Additionally, long lateral branches irregularly emerge from both the secondary branches and the main axis. The tip cell is rounded in shape. When examined in cross-section, the cortex consists of two layers, with the outer cells being smaller and polygonal compared to the inner cells.
