Description:
The plants are spherical, smooth at first, then lobed, folded, and ripped, with an expanded diameter of up to 10 cm or more. The chamber is first filled with seawater but eventually becomes hollow and air-filled due to the thick walls, which have more than five cell layers. The root of the plant is widely attached. The texture is strong and the color ranges from golden to greenish brown.
