Description:
Clypeaster rarispinus has a flat, pentagonal shape with rounded corners, and the edge of the test is somewhat thick. The apical system is slightly elevated. The oral ambulacral furrows are clearly defined and stand out up to the test’s edge. The mouth is centrally located. The anus and periproct are situated on the oral side within the posterior interambulacrum. There are five genital pores.
