Description:
This species lacks dorsal spines and soft rays, as well as anal spines and soft rays. The caudal fin has a pronounced subterminal notch but no ventral lobe. Juveniles of this species display dark grey-brown bands outlined in black, while adults have a uniform medium- to dark-brown coloration, with the black edgings being the last parts of the color pattern to disappear.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Probably mostly close inshore, depth to 12 m. Maritime area of Bangladesh.
