Description:
Shell medium, stout and heavy, broad, ovate-fusiform. Spire is low with 3-4 whorls and distinct suture. Body surface transversely sculptured by well-marked spiral cords and with 3 varices. Many spines present which are not so sharp and leaf like, medium and recurved. Aperture small; anterior siphonal canal deep, broad and somewhat short, narrowly open and outer lip has teeth like projections. Color: Body surface is brown to dark brown. Spines are black. Aperture is white inside, lips are light brown. Size: Average shell length, average shell width, average aperture length, average aperture width is respectively 65mm, 45mm, 18 mm, 15mm.
