Description:
The head is shorter than the distance between the origin of the dorsal fin and the origin of the upper caudal fin lobe. Upper jaw is non-protrusible while the lower jaw slightly protrudes. Palatine teeth are not present. There are 25–34 scales before the dorsal fin. Pelvic fins are inserted closer to the hind margin of the head than to the origin of the lower caudal fin lobe. In terms of coloration, the pectoral fins can be either light or dark grey with a pale margin and the central portion features a pale stripe that narrows towards the anterior fin margin. Pelvic fins are pale in color.
