Description:
The carapace of this crab is covered in short, fine hairs, and the chelipeds are covered in large granules and/or scale-like markings. The antennal flagellum is not enclosed in the orbital hiatus. The median and submedian frontal teeth are prominent, and the median frontal tooth is triangular. The posterior border of the cephalothorax is curved. There are six antero-lateral teeth. There are distinct cardiac and mesobranchial ridges on the carapace. The male first gonopod has a lip membrane that is distinctly lobed and separated from the tip.
