The shell is moderately raised and somewhat see-through, having a thin structure, and it possesses a consistently oval shape. It’s rather shallow, with the apex just slightly ahead of the midpoint. On the outer surface, there are numerous fine, flat, and somewhat grainy radial riblets, often accompanied by prominent broad radial folds underneath. The inner surface, in contrast, is smooth. As for coloration, it varies greatly. Externally, it can be pale brown or yellowish, featuring 8-10 areas with dark brown mixed with blotches of the background color.
