Description:
The adipose eyelid is moderately developed. It is narrow at the front and the posterior adipose eyelid extends onto the eye to the rear border of the pupil. The straight part of the lateral line typically has 0–4 anterior scales that are followed by 30–40 strong scutes. The coloration ranges from dark bronze to yellow-green above and silvery bronze to yellowish below. This species is distinguished by the black-tipped caudal fin.
