The size of this organism is characterized by a lorica with a length ranging from 161 to 196 µm and a maximum width ranging from 126 to 170 µm. The lorica itself is sturdy and stippled, featuring distinct patterns of plaques. It is divided into dorsal, ventral, and basal plates. The dorsal and ventral plates are fused together for about three-fifths of the lorica’s length, after which they diverge and connect to a third plate, known as the basal plate. The dorsal margin of the lorica is adorned with six spines, with the lateral spines being longer than the median ones, and the median spines being longer than the intermediate ones. The mental margin, which is flexible, is elevated in the middle. The posterior spines may vary in length and the position of their origin, and in some cases, they might even be absent. Notably, there is a foot opening with a foot-sheath associated with this organism.
