Description:
It has wide, flattened head that is adorned with soft flaps. Typically, frogfish display a brown color, frequently accompanied by black spots, bars, or additional patterns. Additionally, these frogfish feature two dorsal fins equipped with sharp spines. Spines on the upper side (total): 3; Soft rays on the upper side (total): 21-23; Soft rays on the lower side: 17-20; Vertebrae: 28-29.
