Bryde’s whale is a tropical-dwelling, medium-sized rorqual, characterized by three distinct longitudinal ridges on its rostrum, differentiating it from similar species. Growing 12–15 meters long and weighing 12–25 tons, they have dark grey bodies, white undersides, 40–70 throat grooves, and falcate dorsal fins. They feed on fish and plankton in warm, temperate waters.
