Description:
The stem has hardened and is adorned with spirals of transparent hairs, and its top part features 20 to 30 gametangial rays. These rays are cylindrical and club-shaped with either rounded or notably indented edges, sticking together to create a cup-like structure. The gametangial cysts within each ray are spherical and number around 75. The plants are a light to pale green hue, with a slight whitish calcified appearance. The stem is connected via lobed holdfasts.
