Description:
These small, pea-like crabs can be identified by their triangular meri on the third maxillepeds. They differ from other crabs by having the opening for the afferent respiratory current adjacent to the endostome, which is a plate-like structure that lines the mouth. There is a distinct canal along the sides of the buccal cavity, which is the mouth cavity.
