Shell of medium size, up to 50 mm in length, 30 mm in height and 19 mm in depth. The length-height proportion less than in Anadara inaequivalvis; elongate, inequivalve, with an angulated dorsal region. Umbones not elevated. Ligamental area narrow. Surface sculptured with 34 to 36 radiating ribs. An oblique keel runs on the posterior part of the shell and this distinguishes it from Anadara inaequivalvis.
