Description:
Shell comparatively smaller than in other species of Anadara. 44mm in height and about 5 mm in depth, elongate ovate, inflated and not heavy. Anterior margin rounded and posterior margin slightly produced. Sculpture consists of 25 raised, nodulose ribs separated by wider interstices and crossed over by thin concentric ridges. Shell white externally and internally. Cardinal area usually black.
