Description:
It has elongated body appearing whitish color. There are four wide, dark brown bars on the sides of the body along with an irregular dusky brown blotch near the operculum. A dusky spot is present above the dorsal end of the gill opening and a pale dusky spot can be observed on the first dorsal fin. Lower jaw protrudes slightly beyond the upper jaw and the gill opening extends forward to the posterior margin of the preopercle. Pelvic fins are medially united with a frenum and the caudal fin is moderately long. There is an absence of median predorsal scales.
