Description:
Number of dorsal spines: 8; Number of dorsal soft rays: 9-10; Number of anal spines: 3; Number of anal soft rays: 9-11. Additionally, there is a solitary supraorbital spine. The rostral spine is not present. The ridge and rear margin of the preopercle are serrated. The edge of the interopercle is smooth. Cheek scales are arranged in 2-3 rows. There are 13-18 scales in the predorsal region. The lateral line is continuous.
