Description:
This is a small, oval-shaped pneumatophore with a pigmented apex. Approximately one-third of its total length constitutes the nectostome, which carries 15 to 20 pairs of mature nectophores arranged alternately in biserial fashion, along with several immature buds. The nectophore isn’t flattened from top to bottom; instead, it features dorso-lateral and ventro-lateral ridges that connect through a lateral vertical ridge. Near the ostium, the dorso-lateral ridge splits into two branches. When viewed from above, the nectosome appears triangular and muscular. The dorsal and ventral radial canals are short and straight, while the lateral radial canals are longer and curved, forming a semicircle on the sides of the nectosac before joining the circular canal.
