Colonies display an asymmetrical structure, featuring encrusting bases and thick conical branches at the center, as well as thinner prostrate branches with upturned ends at the outer edges. The branches from the central region and those from the periphery of the same colony exhibit entirely different shapes. Radial corallites vary in both size and shape but typically resemble rasp-like structures.The coloration is typically a vibrant green with deep pink tips on the branches, or it may present as pinkish-brown, yellow-brown or cream.
