Description:
Body is elongated, featuring a cylindrical anterior portion and a compressed posterior part. The cheeks are swollen and there are mucous canals extending from the nostrils to the edge of the mouth. There are 35-36 scales in the lateral series with about 30 predorsal scales. The body color is blackish green with dark spots on the sides and scales adorned with small shiny spots. Fins are yellowish-orange and there is a black longitudinal stripe on the first dorsal fin. Caudal membrane displays blackish spots.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occurs in Bay of Bengal and estauries.
