Description:
It has silvery olive to golden brown color with greenish reflections and a whitish underside. The fins exhibit a dusky coloration. Caudal fin is often a dusky olive brown, though juveniles may have fins with a yellowish tint. The total number of dorsal spines ranges from 10 to 13 and the total dorsal soft rays range from 10 to 13. There are 3 anal spines and 8 to 10 anal soft rays. The dorsal and ventral profiles of adults share a similarly convex shape.
