Description:
The species possesses 13 dorsal spines, with the soft rays of the dorsal fin totaling between 12 and 16. In the anal fin, there are 2 spines and 12–14 soft rays. The overall coloration of the fish is whitish, and it features five relatively narrow dark bars on the head and body. Additionally, there is a broad dark streak along each caudal-fin lobe.
