The rib color ranges from sharply contrasting white to a pale shade. Near the apex, a few transverse septa are present, and some individuals have secondary septa that extend from the outer wall, sometimes bearing denticles. The radii are horizontal and white with red spots, mostly concentrated on the proximal side. The shell is tubiferous, with the sutural edges featuring denticles on both the upper and lower sides. The sheath is brown, with varying degrees of color intensity and its edges extend over the neighboring alae.
