Description:
Body color reddish to dark brown with numerous scattered small white and orange spots on carapace and abdomen; antennular flagella are cross-banded in white; two medium-sized spines present behind horns on antennular plate; legs have longitudinal white stripes and spots; base of antennal peduncle is bright blue or indigo; transverse grooves are present; dark brown line followed by white line is present in the posterior margin of telson; tips of legs bear reddish brown hairs

Found in clear or slightly turbid water, in rocky areas and coral reefs.
