Description:
The cells of this species have a rhomboid or pentagonal shape and are somewhat dorsally compressed, with straight lateral sides. They feature an apical pore structure . The epithecal plate pattern consists of seven precingular plate, four apical plates , three anterior intercalary plates. The surface of the theca is marked by a reticulated pattern. The cingulum is located in a median position and ascends, being displaced by one cingular width. It is also bordered. Moving to the hypotheca, it possesses two short and slightly divergent antapical spines.The cell contents of this species are pink in color, and its dimensions typically fall within the range of 51.1-96.7 μm in length and 33.0-88.9 μm in width.
