Description:
The cells of Guinardia flaccida are cylindrical in shape and form straight, typically short chains. It has a larger diameter compared to other species. These cells contain numerous large, star-shaped chloroplasts. In water mounts, distinct girdle bands can be observed. Additionally, a rudimentary and inconspicuous spine is present in some individuals. No resting stages have been reported for this species.
