Description:
The valves have a linear-elliptic shape with relatively deep constrictions along the valve margins and broad, rounded apices.The central nodule is small and elongated apically. The raphe sternum furrows are closely spaced and parallel, while the longitudinal canals are linear and slightly convex toward the valve margins.The transapical striae are robust and slightly radiate, with about 7-8 striae in a 10 µm span. They are intersected by straight or slightly wavy longitudinal ribs.
