These cells are found in a loose gel-like structure without a protective covering. The cells themselves are generally spherical or somewhat round, with diameters ranging from 2 to 7 micrometers.These organisms can form colonies and live in a jelly-like environment, either floating freely or adhering to various surfaces. They come in shades of pale blue-green or darker color.Their method of asexual reproduction involves dividing into two separate cells through binary fission.
