Description:
The umbrella of Pelagia noctiluca takes on a hemispherical or mushroom-shaped form. Its color can vary from purple to pale-red or brownish-red. The exumbrellar surface is adorned with a variable number of medium-sized warts, each exhibiting diverse shapes. The manubrium features four thick, frilled oral arms, and both the arms and tentacles are equipped with nematocysts.
