The cube-shaped bell of Carybdea alata is transparent, featuring a flat upper surface and displaying hues of reddish or bluish tints. The exumbrella lacks warts. Crescent-shaped areas on the stomach’s corners host gastric filaments that extend horizontally. There are four long, simple tentacles, colored yellowish-pink or pink, hanging from each lower corner of the bell. A pair of scales cover the sensory niches below, while one scale covers them above.
