The shell is diminutive, taking on a spade-like, robust form and is approximately spherical in its general shape. The body whorl is slightly larger and broadened, while the spire is significantly flattened, reaching the uppermost part of the outer lip, and the suture is only faintly marked. The aperture has a semicircular or nearly D-shaped appearance, being broadly semilunar. The operculum has a fine granulated texture. The shell’s color varies, with the outer surface predominantly white or creamy, often adorned with marbled patterns and spiral bands in shades of grey, black, orange, or brown.
