The whorls are prominently decorated with spiral ribs or keels, with the initial whorls being convex and featuring numerous fine spiral ridges in the middle. The outer lip of the aperture is usually thin and may have a concave shape, while the inner lip is smooth. The head is short and stands out. In terms of color, it is light brownish or pinkish, with the upper half of each whorl being a medium dark brown and the lower half displaying a pale cream-brown shade.
