Description:
The aperture is broad and circular in shape, with a thick, outward-flaring outer lip, lacking any wing-like extension. The columella is slender and interrupted towards the posterior end, and it doesn’t have internal spiral ridges. The shell’s external coloration is brown or a muted purple, while the aperture is creamy-white with brown bands. This species shares morphological characteristics with C. obtusa, but it can be distinguished by the angular shape of the periphery on the last whorl.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Sundarbans and adjacent areas like Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat and Cox’s Bazar
