Description:
Shell moderately large, thick, solid, fusiform. Spire moderately large with sharply pointed apex; 5 concavely rounded whorls; suture distinct. Body whorl large, rounded shoulder with nodules and horizontal striae. Aperture short; denticles on the inner margin of the convex outer lip; inner lip smooth; columella with single fold: umbilicus large; siphonal canal slightly long, deep. broad and open. Colour: outer surface whitish- brown with dark brown patches; aperture, lips and columella white to creamy. Size: maximum shell length 70 mm; average shell length, width, aperture length and width measure 42, 23, 12 and 9 mm, respectively
