Description:
Shell small, solid and oval. Spire short; shoulder angled, obscure suture. Body whorl large, narrowing anteriorly. Spirally corded anteriorly. Apex pointed. Aperture narrowly elongate; outer lip with 9 internal teeth on the axial ridge; inner lip polished and without teeth. Columella with a row of small teeth near the edge of the narrow shield. Colour: exterior dark brown to black with white or yellowish bands or zigzag stripes; lip mauve; outer edge of the columella brown (Oliver, 1989).
