Description:
Shell large, up to 120 mm in length, elongate, spire high and concave, outer lip thickened and recurved with twenty elongate teeth, largest centrally, columella with five small folds anteriorly, parietal shield strongly folded with raised lirae. Sculptured with beaded spiral cords on the early whorls and faint striae on the later whorls; small knobs on antepenultimate whorl, five yellowish transverse bands with darker yellowish brown bars, aperture dark brown within the outer lip and columellar shield yellow or yellowish orange, outer lip with six purple-brown spots.
