Description:
The shell is small to medium in size, solid, and ovate, with an almost cylindrical shape. The adult shell has fine nodules on the dorsum, which are more pronounced on the sides. The juvenile shell is smooth on the dorsum. The aperture is thick and long, and both lips are covered with long teeth. The callous labial margin is pitted. The color of the shell is red-brown to black, which soon fades to a fawn-grey. The shell is covered with small white spots, which are absent in the juvenile shell. The base of the shell is white, and the extremities are red-brown.
