Description:
Large, heavy, and extremely solid shell with an irregular, ovate to pear-shaped contour. Inflated dorsum with a straight, unbranched mantle groove. In general, there are no rounded lateral borders created. Broad base, large aperture, deep siphonal canal, and longitudinal lip furrow. The dorsum of the shell is often cream-white with purple-blue dots, but can occasionally be black. White in the aperture, with a faint, inconspicuous dark brown splotch on the columella.
